Çevirinin Yabancı Dil Öğretimindeki Yeri ve Yabancı Dil Öğretim Yöntemlerine Yansıması

Abstract

Çok eski çağlardan itibaren toplumlar arasında çeşitli ilişkiler olmuştur. Ticaret ve savaş gibi söz konusu ilişkiler toplumları birbirlerinin dillerini öğretmeye yönlendirmiştir. Günümüzde küreselleşme gibi unsurların da devreye girmesiyle yabancı dil öğrenme ihtiyacının arttığı ileri sürülebilir. Bu sebeple yabancı dil öğrenimi üzerinde sıklıkla durulmaktadır. Yabancı dil öğreniminde ise farklı zeka türlerine ve farklı öğrenme amacına sahip olan öğrencilerin farklı öğrenme teknikleri ile yabancı dili çok daha rahat öğrenebilecekleri iddia edilebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı çeviri yönteminin yabancı dil öğrenimindeki yerini belirleyebilmektir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için bir kaynak taraması yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle çeviri yöntemi ve kullanılabilecek çeviri stratejileri aktarılmış ve yabancı dil öğrenme yöntemlerinin özellikleri incelenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmada yabancı dil öğreniminde çevirinin hedef grubuna ve grubun beklentileri doğrultusunda doğru ve etkili bir yöntem olarak kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Since ancient times, there have been different relations between societies. Relations such as trade and war have directed and pushed societes to learn each others languages and communicate. It can be put forward that in todays world with factors such as globalization the need for learning a foreign language has increased. Therefore the foreign language teaching is dwelled on frequently. In the foreign language teaching and learning it can be claimed that through different teaching techniques and methods, students with a different level of understanding and a different learning purpose can learn better. The aim of the study is to determine the role of translation within foreign language teaching. In order to achieve the aim a broad source scanning has been conducted. First of all the translation method and translation strategies are explained and then the foreign language learning method features have been analysed and commented. The study showed that it is possible to use the translation concept as a true and effective method in the foreign language teaching effectively based on the target group and the expectations of the target group.
