Publication: Coğrafi İşaretli Ürünlerin Sürdürülebilirliğinin Turist Rehberleri Açısından Değerlendirilmesi: Samsun Örneği
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Samsun iline özgü coğrafi işaretli ürünlerin sürdürülebilirliğini turist rehberleri perspektifinden değerlendirmektir. Coğrafi işaretli ürünler, belirli bir bölgeye özgü olup, o bölgenin kültürel, tarihsel ve doğal özelliklerini yansıtan ürünlerdir. Bu ürünler, yerel ekonomiyi canlandırma ve turizmi teşvik etme potansiyeline sahiptir. Ancak, bu ürünlerin sürdürülebilirliği, yani uzun vadede üretiminin ve tüketiminin devamlılığı, çeşitli faktörlere bağlıdır. Turist rehberleri, bu ürünlerin tanıtımında ve pazarlanmasında önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, Samsun ilinde turist rehberlerinin coğrafi işaretli ürünler hakkındaki bilgi düzeyleri, bu ürünlerin sürdürülebilirliğine yönelik tutum ve davranışları incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veriler, Samsun'da tur yapan turist rehberlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan yararlanılarak, görüşme tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Örneklemden toplanan verilere içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz uygulanmıştır. İçerik analizi ile yapılan inceleme sonucunda bulgular 'coğrafi işaretli ürünlerin bilinirliğine ilişkin bulgular', 'rehberlerin coğrafi işaretli ürünlere bakış açılarına yönelik bulgular', ''turistlerin coğrafi işaretli ürünlere bakış açılarına yönelik bulgular' ve '' coğrafi işaretli ürünlerin gelecek nesillere aktarılmasına ilişkin bulgular'' olmak üzere dört başlık altında toplanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında ortaya çıkarılan tüm tema, alt tema ve kodlar bu başlıkların altında tablolar halinde verilmiştir. Betimsel analizde ise turist rehberlerinin ifadeleri doğrudan alıntı şeklinde verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda turist rehberlerinin coğrafi işaretli ürünler hakkında ne bildikleri, bu ürünlerin sürdürülebilirliği konusundaki görüşleri ve bu konuda nasıl bir rol üstlendikleri ortaya konulmuştur. Rehberlerin coğrafi işaretli ürünlerin sürdürülebilirliğini değerlendirdikleri bu çalışmanın alanyazına katkı sağlaması beklenmekte ve bu konuda çalışma yapmak isteyenlere yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir. The aim of this study is to evaluate the sustainability of geographically indicated products specific to Samsun from the perspective of tour guides. Geographically indicated products are products that are specific to a certain region and reflect the cultural, historical, and natural characteristics of that region. These products have the potential to stimulate the local economy and promote tourism. However, the sustainability of these products, that is, the continuity of their production and consumption in the long term, depends on various factors. Tour guides play an important role in promoting and marketing these products. In this context, the knowledge level of tour guides in Samsun province about geographically indicated products, their attitudes, and behaviors towards the sustainability of these products were examined. In the study, a qualitative research method was used. The data was collected by interview technique, using a semi-structured interview form from tour guides touring in Samsun. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were applied to the data collected from the sample. As a result of the examination conducted through content analysis, the findings were grouped under four headings: 'findings regarding the awareness of geographically indicated products', 'findings regarding the guides' perspectives on geographically indicated products', 'findings regarding tourists' perspectives on geographically indicated products' and 'findings regarding transferring geographically indicated products to future generations'. All themes, sub-themes, and codes revealed within the scope of the study are given in tables under these headings. In the descriptive analysis, the statements of the tour guides were given as direct quotes. As a result of the study, it was revealed what tour guides know about geographically indicated products, their views on the sustainability of these products, and what role they play in this regard. This study, in which guides evaluate the sustainability of geographically indicated products, is expected to contribute to the literature and is thought to be a guide for those who want to work on this subject.
