dc.description.abstractThe title complex, bis-[2-(1H-imidazol-4-yl)ethanamine]di-saccharin-ato- nickel(II), [Ni(C7H4NO3S)2(C5H9N3)2], has an octa-hedral coordination around the nickel(II) ion, and the Ni atom lies on a center of symmetry. The histamine ligands and sulfonyl group of the saccharinate ligands show disorder, and the two conformations (A and B, with almost equal occupancy) are inversion isomers. The mol-ecular packing is stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds between imidazole N atoms and sulfonyl O atoms. In the extended stucture, inter-molecular N - H⋯O hydogen bonds constitute a chain structure parallel to the direction [110]. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.en_US
