(E)-5-(4-Chlorophenyldiazenyl)salicylaldehyde

Abstract

The molecule of the title compound, C<inf>13</inf>H<inf>9</inf>ClN <inf>2</inf>O<inf>2</inf>, is approximately planar and displays a trans configuration with respect to the central N=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 3.69 (14)°.
