(1α,2β,3α,6β)-3,6-Dichloro-Cyclohex-4-ene-1,2-diyl Diacetate

Abstract

A second positional isomer of C<inf>10</inf>H<inf>12</inf>Cl <inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf>, was synthesized. It was observed that in addition to van der Waals interactions, the crystal structure of this compound is stabilized by C-H-O and C-H-Cl inter and intramolecular hydrogen bonds. It was also observed that the cyclohexane ring adopts half-chair conformation. The crystal structure was found to be inversion twinned.
