Giriş bölümü dışında, üç bölümden oluşan araştırmada, ilk bölümde; Ankara Vilayeti'nin idari birimleri tanıtılarak, sancak ve kaza isimleri olarak verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Osmanlı Eğitim Tarihi, klasik dönem ve Tanzimat Dönemi olarak aktarılmış, dönemin okul türleri, ders müfredatları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Tezin son bölümünde ise Ankara Vilayeti'ndeki bütün eğitim kurumları, her sancak için ayrı başlıklar altında aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise, Tanzimat Dönemi'nde başlayan eğitim alanındaki yeniliklerin, Ankara Vilayeti'ne yansımaları değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
