Abstract

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a medical emergency which can cause acute respiratory failure. The diagnosis and treatment of DAH should be carried out as soon as possible. Even though it has various causes such as collagen vascular diseases, warfarin therapy is a rare cause of DAH. We discuss herein the clinical features, diagnosis and therapy options of DAH due to uncontrolled warfarin therapy in a case who presented to the Emergency Department.
