Abstract
Bu çalışmada 3-Metilsalisilaldehit ile 4-Metilanilin, 2-Bromanilin, 4-Floranilin, 3-Bromanilin, 3-Triflormetilanilin, 2-Hidroksimetilanilin, 2,4-Dikloranilin, 2- Metilanilin, 2-Metoksianilin, 2-Triflormetilanilin, 2-Kloranilin, 3-Kloranilin, 4-N,NDimetilaminoanilin ile reaksiyona sokularak karşılık gelen azometin bileşikleri elde edildi. Sentezlenen azometin bileşiklerinin yapıları IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, UV-VIS, teknikleri kullanılarak incelendi, ayrıca uygun çözücülerde tek kristalleri hazırlanan bileşiklerin kristallografik ve moleküler yapıları X-ışınları difraksiyon yöntemiyle de belirlendi. Schiff bases have been synthesized by the reaction of 3-Methylsalicylaldehyde and 4-Methylanilin, 2-Bromoanilin, 4-Floroanilin, 3-Bromoanilin, 3- Trifloromethylanilin, 2-Hidroksimethylanilin, 2,4-Dichloroanilin, 2-Methylanilin, 2- Metoksianilin, 2-Trifloromethylanilin, 2-Chloroanilin, 3-Chloroanilin, 4-N,NDimethylphenylendiamine. The structures of synthesized azomethine compounds were determined by IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. The azomethine compounds were prepared as single crystal in the suitable solvent. The structures of the azomethine crystals which had been prepared in suitable solvent, were determined by X-Ray studies. KEY WORDS : Schiff bases, keto-enol tautomerism, IR, UV-VIS, X-Ray
