Ünye'ye Türk Yerleşiminin Tarihi Gelişimi

Abstract

Unye is among the districts of Ordu today. It is a place that has hosted many civilizations and communities throughout history. One of these communities are Turks. The aim of our master's thesis is to reveal the place of Turks in the communities that settled in Unye since prehistoric times. Through this thesis, we tried to evaluate the historical depth of the Turkish presence in Unye chronologically. Thus, the reality of the understanding that started the Turkish settlement in the region from the Seljuks or Ottomans in the widespread view of history will be questioned. In determining the content of our thesis, written sources related to Unye and its surroundings, archaeological materials and research works written on the history of the region were used. Gashka is the first known group to be mentioned in Unye in the period of history. After them, Cimmerians and Scythians settled in the region. The connections of these two communities with Central Asia and Turkishness are a turning point for the history of Turkish settlement in the region. Thus BC. Turkish settlement can be started in Unye from the 8th century. Consequently, it is understood that the common view of history does not have much basis. With the intense Turkish immigration that started with the conquest of Anatolia, Turkish settlement in Unye started again. With this new period, the Danishmends, Turkey Seljuks, Canik Principalities and the Ottoman Empire dominated Unye, respectively. The immigration movements that took place in the last periods of the Ottoman administration revealed the present population structure of Unye and its surroundings.

Ünye günümüzde Ordu'nun ilçeleri arasında yer alır. Tarih boyunca pek çok medeniyete ve topluluğa ev sahipliği yapmış bir yerdir. Bu topluluklardan birisi de Türklerdir. Yaptığımız yüksek lisans tez çalışmasının amacı, Ünye'ye tarih öncesi çağlardan itibaren yerleşen topluluklar içerisinde Türklerin yerini ortaya koyabilmektir. Bu tez vasıtasıyla Ünye'deki Türk varlığının tarihi derinliğini kronolojik olarak değerlendirmeye çalıştık. Böylece yaygın tarih görüşünde bölgeye Türk iskânını Selçuklulardan ya da Osmanlılardan başlatan anlayışın gerçekliği sorgulanacaktır. Tezimizin içeriğinin belirlenmesinde Ünye ve çevresiyle alakalı yazılı kaynaklar, arkeolojik malzemeler ve bölge tarihi üzerine yazılmış araştırma eserleri kullanılmıştır. Ünye'de tarih devrinde bahsi geçen bilinen ilk topluluk Gaşkalardır. Onların ardından Kimmer ve İskitler bölgeye yerleşmiştir. Bu iki topluluğun Orta Asya ve Türklükle bağlantıları bölgedeki Türk yerleşiminin tarihi açısından dönüm noktasıdır. Böylece MÖ. 8. yüzyıldan itibaren Ünye'ye Türk yerleşimi başlatılabilir. Haliyle yaygın tarih görüşünün de çok fazla temeli olmadığı anlaşılır. Anadolu'nun fethi ile beraber başlayan yoğun Türk göçü ile Ünye'ye Türk yerleşimi yeniden başlamıştır. Bu yeni dönemle birlikte sırasıyla Danişmendliler, Türkiye Selçukluları, Canik Beylikleri ve Osmanlı Devleti Ünye'ye hâkim olmuştur. Osmanlı yönetiminin son dönemlerinde gerçekleşen göç hareketleri, Ünye ve çevresinin günümüz ulaşan nüfus yapısını ortaya çıkarmıştır.
