Devlet Okulları İle Özel Okullarda Öğrenim Gören İlköğretim 5. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler Dersindeki Başarı Düzeylerinin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalışma, İlköğretim 1. Kademe 5. Sınıftaki Devlet Ve Özel Okul Öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler Dersindeki Başarı Düzeylerini incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırma iki ayrı bağımsız evrenden oluşmakta ve bu evrenlerden alınmış iki bağımsız örneklem içermektedir. Samsun ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören 5. sınıf öğrencilerini; Samsun ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenleri kapsamaktadır.Araştırmanın örneklemini Samsun ilinin Merkez, Bafra, Havza ve Çarşamba ilçelerinden random olarak örnekleme seçilmiş 18 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 455 öğrenci ile, bu öğrencilerin sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmanın oluşturulmasında betimsel tarama yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Verileri elde etmek için `Öğretmen Bilgi Formu', `Öğrenci Bilgi Formu' ve `Sosyal Bilgiler Başarı Testi' kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada verilerin çözümü için öncelikle alt probleme ait verilerin normal dağılım gösterme durumuna bakılmıştır. Buna göre 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10. ve 14. alt problemlerin çözümlemesi için varyans analizinin nonparametriği olan Kruskal Wallis testi, 6. ve 11. alt problemlerin çözümlemesi için ilişkisiz t-testi ve 12. ve 13. Alt problemler ve bunlara ait her alt basamak için ise ilişkisiz t-testini nonparametriği olan Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır.Elde edilen bulgulara göre; genel başarının özel okullar lehine olduğu belirlenmiştir. 5.sınıf öğrencilerinin; ailenin gelir düzeyine, anne-babanın öğrenim durumuna, ailedeki toplam çocuk sayısına, öğretmenlerinin kıdem yılına, cinsiyetine, kullandığı araç-gereçlere ve sınıftaki toplam öğrenci sayısına göre Sosyal Bilgiler Başarı testinden aldıkları puanlar arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. This study is conveyed to survey elementary school 5th grade. State and Private school students? levels of achievements in social sciences. The study is composed of two universes and contains two independent patterns which are taken from these universes. Elementary school 5th grade students and teachers in all the elementary school in Samsun is included in the study. The scope of the study is composed of randomly selected 455 students from 18 elementary schools and their form teachers. In forming the study, the descriptive scanning method has been applied. In order to collect data `Teacher Information Form?, `Student Information Form? and `Social Studies Achievements Test? were used. In this study fort he analysis of data, the dispersion state of subquestion data is primarily observed. According to this, in order to analyze 4th, 5th, 7th,8th, 9th, 10th and 14th subquestions Kruskal Wallis H test, which is nonparametric of variance analysis, for the analysis of 6th and 11th subquestions irrelevant t-test and 12th, 13th subquestions and for their each sub-level Mann Whitney U test which is non-parametric of irrelevant t-test, were applied.According to the findings, general success is on the private schools? side. It has been determined that due to the financial condition of the family, parents? education level, total number of children in family, teacher?s job experiences and his/her gender, materials that he/she used and total number of students in the classroom, between the points that they got from Social Studies Achievements Test there is a meaningful difference.
