Abstract

The title Schiff base, C17H19IN2O, is not planar, displaying a dihedral angle of 34.9 (2)degrees between the two aromatic rings. The molecular conformation allows the formation of a strong intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond with graph-set motif S(6) between the hydroxy group and the imine N atom.
