Abstract

The research was performed to investigate factors affecting milk composition and chaning of milk components with lactation stage in Anatolian buffaloes. The material of the research was formed by 109 milk samples belonging to 28 cows rasied at 12 units of 3 seperate village of Çarşamba District of Samsun Province. Milk samples were taken at AM milkings in one month intervals. Lactation stages' effect was found significant level statistically (P<0.01) on all the component rates of milk except ash rate. But calving season's effect only was significant degree on solids-non-fat (SNF) rate. Standardized the rates of total solids (TS), solids non fat (SNF), ash, fat, protein and casein were calculated as 16.6±1.64%, 9.6±0.84%, 0.763±0.072%, 7.1±1.36%, 4.4±0.51% and 3.1±0.58% respectively. In was determined that rates of TS, SNF, fat and casein change with lactation stage at a significant level statistically.
