dc.description.abstractIn this research, these studies were carried out to remember the 19 May 1919 and revitalize the road used by Mustafa Kemal and her friends on the way to independence. It is emphasized that the part of the route of Kurtulus Road within the boundaries of Samsun has importance in terms of cultural and memorial tourism. The determination, promotion and protection of historical events and the places they pass through are important for the protection and continuity of national unity and integrity. Today, the existence of such places, which are handled within the framework of cultural geography and cultural heritage tourism, should be opened to visitors and their sustainability must be ensured. This is of great importance not only for adults, but also for the upbringing of children and young people with the love of homeland and nation. National Struggle to witness the early days of the Republic of Turkey and the difficulties encountered on the way to the foundation you need to know. In this sense, Samsun and the Kurtulus Road extending from Samsun to Amasya is a route that must be evaluated in terms of cultural tourism. Significant studies have been carried out with the contribution of academicians from 19 Mayis University under the leadership of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in relation to the part of Kurtulus Road within the boundaries of Samsun province. Samsun Ilkadim pier to the province of Amasya border, Mustafa Kemal and his friends made efforts to protect the rest of the route passed. Some of these restorations were made, information signs were erected and this route was made ready to visit with the photographs of those days for cultural and memorial tourism.en_US
