Abstract
Ill oz Bu çalışma, Doğu Karadeniz Havzasındaki akarsulara ilişkin akım gözlem verilerinden yararlanılarak belirli yinelenme aralığına sahip akım değerlerinin saptanmasında kullanılabilecek en uygun olasılık dağılım fonksiyonunun saptanması ve gözlem verilerinin olasılık grafik kağıtlarına işaretlenmesinde kullanılabilecek en uygun noktalama eşitliğinin bulunması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Doğu Karadeniz havzasındaki akım gözlem verilerine en iyi uyumu sağlayan olasılık dağılımının Log-Pearson III dağılımı, bu dağılıma en iyi uyumu sağlayan noktalama eşitliğinin de Weibull noktalama eşitliği olduğu saptanmıştır. Tüm kuramsal olasılık dağılımları dikkate alındığında ise gözlem verilerine en iyi uyumu sağlayan eşitliğin Hazen noktalama eşitliği olduğu belirlenmiştir.
IV ABSTRACT Determination of the Best Probability Distribution and Plotting Position Which Can Be Used for Calculation of Maximum Flow Rates for Certain Recurrence Intervals of The Rivers in the Watersheds of Black Sea Region This research was done in order to determine the best probability distribution function which can be used for estimation of flow rates in a certain recurrence interval, by using the observed flow data of the rivers in the watersheds of Eastern Black Sea Region and in order to find out the best plotting position which can be used in the plotting of the observed data in the graphic papers. As a result of the research, it was found out that the best: theorical probability distribution for the observed data obtained from the flow gaging stations in the watersheds of Eastern Black Sea Region is Log-Pearson III distribution, and the Waibull plotting position is the position which gives the best fit t^ this distribution. When all theorical probability distributions were taken into consideration it was determined that the Has en plotting position gives the best fit to the observed data.
