Publication: Kent ve Kırsaldaki Ortaokul Öğrencileri ve Öğretmenlerin Uzaktan Eğitimde Yaşadıkları Sorunların Karşılaştırılması
Abstract
Amaç: Bu tezin amacı kent ve kırsalda öğrenim gören ortaokul öğrencileri ve öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitimde yaşadıkları sorunların karşılaştırılmasıdır. Yöntem: Bu araştırma da nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan olgubilim desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Samsun ili Vezirköprü ilçesinde bulunan Cumhuriyet Ortaokulu ve Kabalı Ortaokulu, 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında öğrenim görmekte olan 85 öğrenci ve bu okullarda görev yapan 26 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak online olarak Google form üzerinden elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada toplanan veriler kod, kategori ve temalar oluşturularak içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular ve Tartışma:Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kent ve kırsalda öğrenim gören ortaokul öğrencileri ve görev yapan öğretmenlerin her iki bölgede de ortak olarak uzaktan eğitim derslerine katılma probleminden dolayı sorunlar yaşadığı tespit edilmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim sürecinde internet bağlantısı, öğrencilerle iletişim kurma, öğrencilerin dersleri anlamaması, öğretmenlerin ders anlatımında etkileşim sağlanamaması ve ders süresinin kısa olması gibi problemlere sahip oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucundaki analizler göz önünde bulundurulduğunda kent ve kırsalda öğrenim gören öğrenciler ve öğretmenlerinin görüşlerinin benzerlik gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Öneriler: Araştırma sonucuna göre, uzaktan eğitimde yaşanan sorunların giderilmesi amacı ile kullanılan platformların sisteminin iyileştirilmesi, alt yapı sorunlarının düzeltilerek internet problemlerinin giderilmesi, öğretmenlere uzaktan eğitim içerikli hizmet içi eğitimler verilmesi, öğrencilere eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı konusunda seminerler verilerek uygulamalar ile desteklenmesi önerilerinde bulunulmuştur.
Aim:The aim of this thesis is to compare the problems experienced by secondary school students and teachers studying in urban and rural areas in distance education. Method:In this study, the phenomenological design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of 85 students studying at Cumhuriyet Secondary School and Kabalı Secondary School in the Vezirköprü district of Samsun province in the 2020-2021 academic year and 26 teachers working in these schools. The research data were obtained online through the Google form using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. The data collected in the research were analyzed by content analysis method by creating codes, categories and themes Findings and Discussion:According to the results obtained in the research, it has been determined that secondary school students and teachers working in urban and rural areas have problems due to the problem of participating in distance education courses jointly in both regions. In the distance education process, it has been determined that they have problems such as internet connection, communicating with students, students not understanding the lessons, teachers' inability to interact in lectures, and short course duration. Considering the analyzes at the end of the research, it was determined that the views of the students and their teachers studying in the city and the countryside were similar. Recommendations:According to the results of the research, suggestions were made to improve the systems of the platforms used in order to eliminate the problems experienced in distance education, to fix the infrastructure problems and to solve the internet problems, to provide in-service trainings with the content of distance education to the teachers, to support the students with applications by giving seminars on the use of technology in education.
