Ortaokul Müzik Öğretmenlerinin Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrencilerin Müzik Eğitimine Yönelik Görüşleri

Abstract

Son yıllarda yaşanan siyasal, sosyal ve politik nedenlerle Türkiye yoğun bir göç dalgası ile karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Bu durumda, aileleriyle birlikte göç eden yabancı uyruklu çocukların ülkemiz eğitim sistemindeki varlığı artmaktadır. Müziğin ve müzik eğitiminin, bu öğrencilerin yeni yaşamlarına entegrasyonunda önemli bir rolü vardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul müzik öğretmenlerinin yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin müzik eğitimine yönelik görüşlerini belirlemek ve olası sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirmektir. Araştırma, ortaokul müzik öğretmenlerinin yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin müzik eğitimine yönelik görüşlerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemeyi amaçladığından genel ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak düzenlenmiştir. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını, 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılı, İstanbul ili Avrupa yakası ilçelerindeki MEB'e bağlı resmi ortaokullarda görev yapan 279 müzik öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından ilgili literatür taranarak ve uzman görüşlerine başvurularak hazırlanan dijital anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda; araştırmaya katılan ortaokul müzik öğretmenlerinin, sınıflarındaki yabancı uyruklu öğrencileri, müzik dersine yönelik tutum, kültürel farkındalık, iletişim ve okula/derse uyum bakımından pek yeterli bulmadıkları, müzik dersi kazanımlarında ise orta düzeyde buldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar çerçevesinde yabancı uyruklu ortaokul öğrencilerinin müzik eğitimine yönelik öneriler getirilmiştir.Due to political and social reasons that observed in recent years, Turkey has been faced with an intense wave of immigration. In this situation, the presence of foreign children who have migrated with their families in our education system is increasing. Music and music education play an important role in the integration of these students into their new lives. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of secondary school music teachers regarding the music education of foreign students and to suggest solutions to possible problems. Since the research aims to examine the opinions of secondary school music teachers about the music education of foreign students in terms of various variables, it was designed in accordance with the general relational screening model. The participants of the study consist of 279 music teachers working in official secondary schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education in the European side districts of Istanbul in the 2023-2024 academic year. The data was collected with a digital survey form prepared by the researcher by scanning the relevant literature and consulting expert opinions. As a result of the findings obtained; It was determined that the secondary school music teachers who participated in the research did not find the foreign students in their classes sufficient in terms of attitude towards music lessons, cultural awareness, communication and adaptation to the school/lesson, and that they found them to be at an average level in music lesson achievements. Within the framework of these results, suggestions have been made for the music education of foreign secondary school students.
