Testicular Implants

Abstract

Testicular implants are being used since 1939. The first implant is vitallium testicular implant and consists of cromium, cobalt, molibdenum. Other implants that be used are lucite, glass, gelfoam, teflon, solid silicon etc. The results with this testicular implants were unsatisfactory. For this reason, the studies related to testicular implants go on. The last implant that be used is gel - silicon testicular prosthesis. It has been also used otogen materials other from this alloplastic materials. Because of side effects of alloplastic materials must be the more choosen otogen testicular implants. But yet ideal otogen testicular implants couldn't been made.
