Primula Vulgaris Huds.'un (Primulaceae) İki Alt Türünün Fenotipik Plastisitelerinin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Primula vulgaris Huds.'un (Primulaceae) İKİ ALT TÜRÜNÜN FENOTİPİK PLASTİSİTELERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI ÖZET Bu çalışmada, Samsun ve çevresinde yayılış gösteren, gerek süs bitkisi gerekse tıbbi bitki olarak önemi olan Primula vulgaris Huds' un iki alt türünün (Primula vulgaris Huds. subsp. sibthorpii (Hoffmanns) VV. VV. Sm.& Forrest ve Primula vulgaris Huds. subsp. vulgaris) fenotipik plastisiteleri araştırılmıştır. Fenotipik plastisite, genetik kontrol altındaki bir bitki populasyonunun değişen çevre şartlarına karşı gösterdiği adaptasyon kabiliyetidir. Değişik çevre şartları için önemli bir cevap olan vejetatif veya generatif gelişim ile ifade edilir. Bu çalışmada, fenotipik plastisitenin bir ölçütü olarak üreme gücü değerleri kullanılmıştır. Bunun için her iki alt türde morfolojik parametrelerin (sürgün uzunluğu, canlı yaprak sayısı, ölü yaprak sayısı ve çiçek sayısı, yaprak boyu ve yaprak genişliği), biomas ve azot değerlerinin lokalite ve örnek parsellere göre değişimi istatistiksel analizlerle belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca toprak örneklerinde de benzer analizler yapılmıştır. Her iki alt türde de, fenotipik plastisite üreme gücündeki yüksek korelasyon katsayılarına bağlı olarak yüksektir. Fakat üreme yapıları P. vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii' nin fenotipik plastisitesinde önemli rol oynarken, P. vulgaris subsp. vulgaris de bu açıdan konvergens ve divergenslerin olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca her iki alt türde de, kök/sürgün oranı oldukça düşüktür. Toprak üstü bitki kısımlarının btoması ve yaprak azotu yönünden ise; iki bitki populasyonunda da önemli istatistiksel farklılıklar bulunmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre fenotipik plastisite alt türler arasında bile değişiklik gösterebilmektedir. P. vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii, P. vulgaris subsp. vulgaris' e oranla daha geniş plastisiteye sahiptir. Dolayısıyla ekolojik toleransı ve rekabeti daha yüksektir. (Primula vulgaris Huds.subsp. sibthorpii (Hoffmanns) W. W. Sm.& Forrest and Primula vulgaris Huds. subsp. vulgaris) which occurs in Samsun city and its environs and used as ornamental and medicinal plant. Phenotypic plasticity can be defined as the adaptive capability of a plant population under genetic control in response to a changing enviroment. It can be expressed in either vegetative or generative developments which is an important response to different enviroments. In this study we used reproductive effort values as a criteria of phenotypic plasticity. For this reason morphological parameters (shoot lenght, number of leaving leaves, number of dead leaves, number of flowers, leaf lenght, leaf width), biomass, nitrogen values of two both subspecies with respect to changes of locality and quadrat were evaluated statistical analysis. Similar analysis were also carried out in soil samples. Phenotypic plasticity of both two subspecies is quite high due to high correlation coefficients for reproductive effort. But some convergens and divergens were seen in Primula vulgaris subsp. vulgaris while reproductive structure of Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii plays an important role in phenotypic plasticity. In addition to these root/shoot ratio is rather low in both two subspecies. There were no statistically significiant differences between the two subspecies with respect to the above ground plant biomass and leaf nitrogen. According to the result of our study it has been showed that phenotypic plasticity may be changed even in two subspecies. It has been concluded that Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii has higher plasticity than Primula vulgaris subsp. vulgaris. Consequently ecological tolerance and competition of Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii is higher than that of the other subspecies.
