Abstract
Ardanuç district of Artvin province, which is the administrative center of the Tao-Klarceti Principality for many years, has hosted many important Historical building in the Middle Ages. The structures examined in the catalog are also important works which were built in the Middle Ages and represent the power of the Bagratli Dynasty. As a result of the missionary activities of Saint Nino in Georgia, the fact that Christianity was officially accepted by the state in the first half of the IV century, led to an increase in relations with the Byzantine Empire both religiously and artistically. Especially in IV and VI century, many Byzantine artists and clergymen went to historical Georgia and produced Byzantine works. It is thought that the artistic influence that emerged from the IV century onwards continued in the Middle Ages. Nevertheless, the extent of the effect is not known precisely. However, with this thesis, it is tried to reveal the Byzantine influences in Georgian churches over a group of buildings in Artvin.
