Publication: Görsel Sanatlar Dersindeki Grafik Tasarımı Konularının 8. Sınıfta İstasyon Tekniğiyle İşlenmesinin Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarılarına, Tutumlarına ve Kalıcılığa Etkisi
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, görsel sanatlar dersinde, grafik tasarımı konularının istasyon tekniğiyle işlenmesinin 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin başarılarına, tutumlarına ve öğrendiklerinin kalıcılığına etkisini tespit etmektir. Araştırma, 2019-2020 öğretim yılının güz döneminde Batman ili, Merkez İlçesi, Abdulcelil Candan İmam Hatip Ortaokulu'nda, öğrenim gören, 8. sınıf öğrencileriyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada nicel veri toplama yöntemlerinden faydalanılmış ve deneysel desen yöntemlerinden ön test - son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel model (Quasi-experimental) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler; ön test - son test olarak birlikte kullanılan başarı belirleme testi ve tutum ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan gruplara, başarı belirleme testi ve tutum ölçeği, deneysel işlem öncesi ön test ve işlem sonrası son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Deneysel çalışmadan 12 hafta sonra kalıcılık testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler SPSS 26 istatistiksel analiz programında çözümlenmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin ortalama puanları üzerinden normallik varsayımları test edilmiştir. Bunun için de Kolmogorov-Smirnov ve Shapiro-Wilk testleri yapılmıştır. Diğer taraftan öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine yönelik tutumları ile başarı belirleme testi ortalamalarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemek için de ikili gruplarda bağımsız örneklem t-Testi, ikiden çok gruplarda tek yönlü varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Karşılaştırmalarda gözlemlenen farklılığın kaynağını bulmak üzere de Tukey Posthoc testi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, deney grubu ile kontrol grubunun başarı ve kalıcılık puanları arasında deney grubunun önde olduğunu gösteren anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Ancak tutum puanları açısından deney grubu ile kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Analizler sonucu ulaşılan bu anlamlı puan farklılığı, istasyon tekniğinin geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre daha etkili öğrenmeler sağladığı şeklinde yorumlanmıştır. Bunun yanında deney grubundaki öğrencilerin, görsel sanatlar dersinde grafik tasarımı konularının öğretiminde, istasyon tekniğinin uygulanmasından hoşlandıkları gözlenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde, bu konuda yapılacak ileri araştırmalara, karar alıcılara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of processing graphic design subjects in visual arts course with station technique on academic achievement, permanence and attitudes of 8th grade students. The research was carried out on 8th grade female students studying in Batman province, Merkez District, Abdulcelil Candan Imam Hatip Secondary School in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year. In the research, quantitative data collection methods were used and semi-experimental model with experimental pattern methods, pretest-posttest control group, was used. In the research, the data were obtained with the success determination test and attitude scale used together as a pre-test and post-test. Success determination test and attitude scale were applied to the participating groups as pre-test and post-test post-test. Permanence test was applied 12 weeks after the experimental study. The data collected in the research were analyzed in SPSS 26 statistical analysis program. Normality assumptions were tested on the averages of the experimental and control group students. For this purpose, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests were carried out. On the other hand, in order to examine whether students' attitudes towards visual arts course and achievement determination test averages differ significantly according to various variables, independent sample t-Test was conducted in binary groups. One-way analysis of variance was performed in more than two groups. Tukey Posthoc test was carried out to find the source of the observed difference in comparisons. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found between the experimental group and the control group in terms of success and permanence scores in favor of the experimental group. However, no significant difference was found between the experimental group and the control group in terms of attitude scores. This significant score difference reached as a result of the analyzes showed that station technique provides more effective learning compared to traditional teaching methods. In addition, it was observed that the students in the experimental group enjoyed the application of station technique in the teaching of graphic design subjects in the visual arts lesson. Within the framework of the findings obtained in the research, suggestions for advanced researchs, decision makers and practitioners were made.
