Abstract

Renklenmiş dişler en yaygın dental problemlerden biridir. Dişlerde görülen renklenmelere iç ve dış kaynaklı faktörler neden olmaktadır. Çoğu vakada, vital ve devital dişlerde ağartma işlemi basit konservatifbir çözüm sağlar. Diş hekimliği pratiğinde diş ağartma yöntemlerine olan talep son yıllarda hızla artmıştır. Bu makalenin amacı, diş renklenmesinin sebepleri, farklı ağartma uygulama teknikleri, bu tekniklerin etkinlikleri ve potansiyel yan etkileri hakkında bilgi sunmaktadır.Discoloured teeth are a common dental problem. Tooth discolouration can be caused by the intrinsic or extrinsic factors. Bleaching of vital and non-vital teeth provides a simple conservative solution in many cases. The demand for tooth bleaching in dental practice has increased exponentially over the last few years. The aim of this article is to present the causes of tooth discolouration, the different types of bleaching regimes, effectiveness of theese bleaching regimes and the potential side effects.
