Märchen im Fremdsprachenunterricht

Abstract

Bu çalısmanın amacı masalların yabancı dil öğretiminde materyal olarak kullanılmasıyla, öğrencilerin okuma, dinleme ve yazma becerilerinin daha olumlu gelistirilmesidir. Masalların bir kültür tasıyıcısı olması, belirli bir yapısı ve kolay anlasılır içeriği bulunması, öğrenmeyi ve öğretmeyi daha kolaylastırması nedeniyle yabancı dil dersinde kullanılmaya uygundur. Bu arastırma, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesinde Almanca Bölümünde ve henüz dil öğrenimlerinin temel basamağında bulunan öğrenciler üzerinde gerçeklestirilmistir. Deney ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki grup olusturulmustur. Seçilen masallara okuma, dinleme ve yazma becerilerini gelistirmeye yönelik bazı alıstırmalar ve aktiviteler gelistirilmistir. Bu gelistirilen alıstırma ve aktiviteler deney grubuna uygulanmıstır. Kontrol grubuna ise bilgi içeren metinler kullanarak, eski metin çözümleme yöntemleri ile bir uygulama yapılmıstır. ?ki grup arasında bir farkın olup olmadığını anlayabilmek içinde her iki gruba uygulama öncesinde ve sonrasında testler uygulanmıstır. Uygulanmıs olan ön testte her iki grupta fark yokken, yani her iki grupta aynı seviyedeyken, uygulama sonunda yaptığımız son testte fark çıkmıstır. Uygulama grubunun not ortalamaları kontrol grubunun not ortalamalarından daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmistir. Bu verilerden, masalların Almanca dersinde kullanımıyla, temel Almanca basamağında olan öğrencilerin okuma, dinle ve yazma becerilerinin gelistiği ve arttığı görülmüstür.The goal of this study is to develop students? reading, listening, and writing skills in a more positive way bay using tales as materials in foreign language teaching. Tales are appropriate materials for making learning easier in foreign language classes since they include cultural elements, have certain strucktures, and have easily understandable contenst. This study was conducted on Students who were yet at the basic level in foreign language learning in Ondokuzmayıs University, Department of German Language Teaching. There were two groups; an experimental and a control group. By the help of the selected tales some activities and exercises were developed in order to increase Students? reading, listening, and writing skills. These developed activities were conducted on the experimental group. In the control group traditional methods were applied by using information embedded texts. In order to see if there was a difference between the levels of two groups, pre and post experiment tests were applied to both groups. While in the pre-test conducted there was not any difference between the levels of the groups, the post-test conducted at the end of the study revealed that there was a difference between the levels of both groups. It was identified that the mean averages of the scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. In the light of the data gathered, it was identified that by using tales in German language teaching basic level students? reading, listening, and writing skills are developed and increased.
