Offset Surface Pencil with a Common Asymptotic Curve

Abstract

Let r(s) be a parameter and an asymptotic curve on a surface P(s,t). We obtain conditions for offsets P(s,t) of P(s,t) such that the image β(s) of the curve r(s) is a common asymptotic on each offset. We illustrate the method with an example. © 2018 World Scientific Publishing Company.
