Orta Karadeniz Bölgesinde Katı Atık Yönetiminin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Son yıllarda artış gösteren sanayileşme, kentleşme, nüfus ve teknolojik alanlardaki gelişmelere paralel olarak katı atık miktarı ve türlerinde de artış görülmektedir. Doğal kaynakların korunması ve atıkların çevreye verdiği zararın azaltılması, uygun bir katı atık yönetim sisteminin uygulanmasıyla mümkündür. Katı atık yönetim sisteminin başarılı olabilmesi için, geri kazanım, geri dönüşüm oranının artırılması ve deponi sahasına giden atık miktarının azaltılması gerekmektedir. Katı atıkların kaynağında toplanarak uygun bir şekilde bertaraf edilmesi yerel yönetimlerin sorumluluğundadır. Bu çalışmada, Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde bulunan Ordu, Samsun, Tokat, Amasya ve Çorum illerindeki mevcut katı atık yönetimi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla her bir il için katı atık miktarı ve kompozisyonu araştırılmış; toplama, taşıma ve bertaraf yöntemleri araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bilgiler ışığında, mevcut sorunlar tespit edilmiş ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir.

In parallel with the developments in industrialization, urbanization, population and technological developments, there has been an increase in the amount and types of solid waste in recent years. It is possible by the implementation of a proper solid waste management system to protect the natural resourses and to reduce of the environmental damage caused by wastes. In order the efficient solid waste management, while the recovery and recycling rate need to be increased, the amount of waste to landfill site needs to be reduced. It is the responsibility of the local authorities to collect at the source and dispose the solid wastes. In this study, the existing solid waste management in the Central Black Sea Region, Ordu, Samsun, Tokat, Amasya and Çorum provinces was investigated. For this purpose, the amount and composition of solid waste were investigated for each province; methods of collection, transportation and disposal have been examined. İn the light of the information obtained, current problems were identified and solutions were proposed for these problems.
