Abstract
Farklı fotoperiyot rejimlerinin Galleria mellonella (Linnaeus, 1758)(Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) da değişik yaştaki erginlerin total karbohidrat, lipit veprotein miktarına etkisi incelendi. Denemeler, 28 ± 2 ° C ve % 65 ± 5 nisbi nemiçeren laboratuar şartlarında yapıldı. Böcekler, sekiz farklı fotoperiyot rejiminde (yirmidört saat aydınlık, ( 24A;0 K), yirmidört saat karanlık (0A; 24K), onsekizsaat aydınlık, altı saat karanlık (18A; 6K) 1. kademe ve (18A; 6K) 2. kademe, onikisaat aydınlık, oniki saat karanlık (12A; 12K) 1. kademe ve (12A; 12K) 2. kademe, altı saat aydınlık, onsekiz saat karanlık (6A; 18K) 1. kademe ve (6A; 18K) 2.kademe) yetiştirildi. Farklı fotoperiyot rejimlerinde, aydınlanma 40 W lıkfloresans ampullerle sağlandı. 18A; 6K, 12A; 12K, ve 6A; 18K fotoperiyotrejimlerinde, aydınlık başlama zamanında değişiklik yapılarak, 2. kademedenemeleri uygulandı. Böceklerin beslenmesinde, balsız petekler kullanıldı.Tüm fotoperiyot rejimlerinde, 100 mg ergindeki protein miktarı dişilerde,yaşa bağlı olarak ergin hayatın ilk günlerinde arttı ve sonra azaldı. Erkeklerde iseazalma gözlenmedi. 100 mg ergindeki lipit miktarı ise her iki eşeyde de yaşlabirlikte azalırken, karbohidrat miktarlarında her iki eşeyde de yaşla birlikte artışgözlendi.G. mellonella erginlerinin karbohidrat, lipit ve protein miktarlarında, uygulanan fotoperiyot rejimlerine göre değişiklik gözlendi. Karanlık süresi attıkça,besin maddesi miktarlarında azalma gözlendi. Aynı fotoperiyot rejimlerindebirinci kademedeki karbohidrat, lipit ve protein miktarları, ikincikademedekilerden yüksek bulundu. Tüm fotoperiyot rejimlerinde, dişilerin totalolarak erkeklerden daha fazla karbohidrat, lipit ve protein içerdiği tesbit edildi.Ahahtar kelimeler: G. mellonella, Fotoperiyot, Aydınlık başlama zamanı, Yaş,Protein, Lipit, Karbohidrat.
Effects of different photoperiod regimes on total carbohydrate, protein andlipid amounts of Galleria mellonella ( Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)adults were investigated with relation to adult age. Studies were carried out underthe laboratory conditions at 28 ± 2 ° C temperature and % 65 ± 5 relativehumidity. nsects were reared at, eight different photoperiod regimes (twentyfour hours light (24L; 0D), twentyfour hours dark (0L; 24D), eighteen hourslight, six hours dark (18L; 6D) first level, (18L; 6D) second level, twelve hourslight, twelve hours dark (12L; 12D) first level, (12L; 12D) second level, six hourslight, eighteen hours dark (6L; 18D) first level, (6L; 18D) second level).Illumination was done with 40 W fluorescent bulbs in different photoperiodregimes. It was made second level photoperiod regimes for 18L;6D, 6L; 18D, 12L;12D under the condition different light on time. Insects were fed with honey freecomb. In all photoperiod regimes, the amounts of protein in females in per 100 mgof weight of adult increased at the beginning of adult life and then decreased. There were no decrease at the amounts of protein in males. Both females and andmales, the amounts of lipid in per 100 mg of weight decreased as the adult aging, the amounts of carbohydrates in per 100 mg of weight increased as the adult aging. There were different amounts of carbohydrate, lipid and protein on differentphotoperiod regimes of G. mellonella adults. Increase of dark period, causeddecrease amounts of nutritient. Under the same photoperiod regimes, there wereincrease amounts of carbohydrate, lipid and protein in the first level photoperiod. On the other hand, under all photoperiod regimes, there were more nutritient infemales than males.Key Words: G. mellonella, Photoperiod, light on time, age, protein, lipid, carbohydrate.
