Publication: Aile Bakım Vericilerine Uygulanan Şizofreni ile Yaşamda Bilinçli Farkındalık Psikoeğitim Programının Psikolojik İyi Oluş Üzerine Etkisi
Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı şizofreni tanılı bireylerin aile bakım vericilerine uygulanan şizofreni ile yaşamda bilinçli farkındalık psikoeğitim programının psikolojik iyi oluş üzerine etkisi incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Randomize kontrollü deneysel tasarımda olan bu araştırma Ekim 2023- Haziran 2024 tarihleri arasında, Karadeniz Bölgesi'ndeki bir Toplum Ruh Sağlığı Merkezinden hizmet alan şizofreni tanılı bireylerin aile bakım vericileri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Örneklemde yer alan katılımcılar deney (n=30 birey) ve kontrol (n=30 birey) gruplarına atandıktan sonra, deney grubunu oluşturan bakım vericilere araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilmiş şizofreni ile yaşamda bilinçli farkındalık psikoeğitim programı uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubundaki bakım vericilere bir müdahale yapılmamıştır. Araştırmada veriler Tanıtıcı Özellik Formu ve PERMA Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 22.0 ve R v3.6.1 istatistik programları ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirilmesinde çarpıklık-basıklık katsayısı, yüzdelik ve frekans dağılımı, ki-kare testi, karışık ölçümler için iki faktörlü ANOVA, Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Deney grubundaki aile bakım vericilerinin %63.3'ünün kadın, %63.3'ünün evli, % 43.3'ünün ilkokul mezunu, yaş ortalamalarının 51.96±13.08 olduğu, %56.7'sinin fiziksel sağlık sorununun bulunduğu ve %66.7'sinin ruhsal sağlığını 'orta' derece olarak değerlendirdiği saptanmıştır. Uygulanan psikoeğitim programı sonrası PERMA Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamalarındaki değişim açısından deney ve kontrol grupları arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.001). Bu programın deney grubundaki aile bakım vericilerin PERMA Ölçeği toplam puanlarını %87.7 düzeyinde anlamlı ve geniş bir etki oluşturarak yükselttiği saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Şizofreni ile yaşamda bilinçli farkındalık psikoeğitim programının şizofreni tanısı olan bireylerin aile bakım vericilerinde psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyini artırmada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of a conscious awareness psychoeducation program in life with schizophrenia applied to family caregivers of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia on psychological well-being. Materials and Methods: This study, which has a randomized controlled experimental design, was conducted between October 2023 and June 2024 with family caregivers of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia receiving service from a Community Mental Health Center in the Black Sea Region. After the participants in the sample were assigned to the experimental (n = 30 individuals) and control (n = 30 individuals) groups, a conscious awareness psychoeducation program in life with schizophrenia, developed by the researchers, was applied to the caregivers in the experimental group. No intervention was made to caregivers in the control group. In the study, data were collected using the 'Descriptive Characteristics Form' and the 'PERMA Psychological Well-Being Scale'. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 and R v3.6.1 statistical programs. In the statistical evaluation of the data, skewness-kurtosis coefficient, percentage and frequency distribution, chi-square test, two-factor ANOVA for mixed measurements, and Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient were used. Results: 63.3% of the family caregivers in the experimental group were women, 63.3% were married, 43.3% were primary school graduates, their average age was 51.96±13.08, 56.7% had physical health problems and 66.7% reported their mental health as 'medium'. It was determined that it was evaluated as ' degree. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of the change in the PERMA Scale total score averages after the applied psychoeducation program (p<0.001). It was determined that this program increased the PERMA Scale total scores of family caregivers in the experimental group, creating a significant and large effect at the level of 87.7%. Conclusion: It was concluded that the mindfulness psychoeducation program in life with schizophrenia was effective in increasing the psychological well-being level of family caregivers of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.
