The Institution of Memorizing of the Whole Quran in the Process of Protecting of the Quran

Abstract

Since the beginning of the descending of the Qur'an, it was protected by the Prophet Muhammad himself and his Companions by memorizing. This article examines how the believers have showed great endeavour in the protecting of the Qur'an through memorizing of the whole Qur'an since the time of the Prophet Muhammad until our time and deals with the institution of being hafiz (memorizing the whole Qur'an by heart) in this direction.
