Samsun İli'nde serbest çalışan diş hekimlerinin fissür örtücü kullanımı konusundaki yaklaşımlarının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu anket çalışmasının amacı Samsun ili 'nde serbest olarak çalışan dişhekimlerinin fissür örtücü uygulaması hakkındaki bilgi ve tutumlarının değerlendirilmesidir. Materyal ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya Samsun İli'nde çalışan 143 diş hekimi dahil edildi. Diş hekimlerinin fissür örtücü uygulaması hakkındaki bilgi ve tutumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla 13 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu hazırlandı. Diş hekimlerinin muayenehanelerine yapılan ziyaretlerde anket formlarını doldurmalarından sonra bu konuya ilişkin sorulara verilen cevaplar değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Anket sonuçlarına göre dişhekimlerinin %55'inin fissür örtücü uygulaması yapmadığı, uygulayan hekimlerden özellikle mesleki deneyim süresi fazla olanların uygulama aşamaları hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadığı belirlendi. Sonuç: Samsun İli'nde çalışan diş hekimlerinin fissür örtücü kullanımı konusunda; uygun materyal seçme, üretici firma önerilerine uyma, kayıt tutma ve izleme konularında sürekli gelişim ile değişime ayak uydurmaları koruyucu diş hekimliği uygulamaları açısından önem taşımaktadır.

Aim: The aim of this questionnaire study was to investigate knowledge and attidude of practitioner dentists in Samsun toward fissure sealant application. Material and Methods: 143 dentists working in Samsun area were1 included in this study. A survey of 13 questions were taken to understand the knowledge and attidudes approach level in the application of the fissure sealant. Each survey was conducted at the participating dentist's office and the completed questionnaires were then analyzed. Results: The results indicate that %55 of the dentists do not apply fissure sealant. Among the dentists who apply the fissure sealant, especially the ones who have been in practice for many years do not have enough technical knowledge to apply it properly. Conclusion: It is important to choose the right fissure sealant, t(> follow the sealant manufacturer's instructions, to keep the records accurate, to follow up the patients diligently and to be on top' of the research and- development from the protective dentistry point of view.
