| dc.description.abstract | According to the defect liability rules, the buyer (or consumer) shall use one of the rights in the Article 227 of TurkishCode of Obligations (Law No. 6098) and the Article 11 of Code of Consumer Protection (Law No. 6502), if the item isdefected. The period of limitation for claims based on sale contract is regulated in the Article 231 of Turkish Code ofObligations with the marginal “Limitation” and in the Article 12 of Consumer Protection Law.In this paper, we intend to examine provisions regarding the period of limitation, especially their effects andconsequences on the sale contracts including commercial and consumer sales. | en_US |
