Sağlıklı bireylerde beta adrenerjik blokör carteolol'un oküler hipotansif etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sağlıklı bireyler üzerinde sağ gözlerde %1 ve % 2 lik.Carteololun etkinliği araştı-rıldı.Bu amaçla 7 erkek 9 kadın, yaş ortalaması 24.19 olan 16 bireyden 1. grup, 7 kadın, 8 erkek, ortalama yaşı 22.33 olan 15 bireyden 2. grup oluşturuldu. Lgruptaki bireylerin sağ gözlerine % 1 lik, 2.gruptaki bireylerin sağ gözlerine %2 lik Carteolol damlatıldı. Plasebo olarak sol gözlere suni gözyaşı damlatıldı. 1.,4., 8. ve 24. saatlerde göz içi basıncı( GİB) applanasyon tonometrisi ile ölçüldü. Sağ gözlerden elde edilen sonuçlar plasebo ile karşılaştırıldı. %1 lik ve % 2 lik Carteolol damlatılan gözlerde GİB'nın başlangıç değerine ve plaseboya göre anlamlı olarak düştüğü görüldü. GİB 'daki maksimum düşme ilk 4 saat içinde olup, % 1 lik Carteolol ile 4.93 mmHg, % 2 lik Carteolol ile 4.4 mmHg olarak tesbit edildi.

The Ocular Hypotensive Effect Of Beta Adrenergic Blocker -Carteolol-On Healthy Persons We investigated the effects of 1 % and 2 % Carteolol ophthalmic solution in volunteers. There were 7 women and 9 men in first group, 7 women and 8 men in second group. Mean age of first group was 24.19 years and the second was 22.33 years. We applied 1% Carteolol ophthalmic solution to right eyes of first group and 2% Carteolol to right eyes of second group. We applied artificial tears to all left eyes as plasebo. We measured intra ocular pressure (IOP) at 1,4,8 and 24 hours by applanation tonometer. We compared the results of right eyes with plasebo. A statistically significant reduction of IOP was obtained after instillation of 1 %and 2 %Carteolol ophthalmic solution comparison with plasebo. The maximum IOP reduction with Carteolol 1 % eye drop was 4.93 mmHg at 4 hours after instillation, and 4.4 mmHg with Carteolol 2% eye drop.
