Sosyal Beceri Eğitiminin İlköğretim Öğrencilerinin Denetim Odağı Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, sosyal beceri eğitiminin ilköğretim öğrencilerinin denetim odağı düzeylerine etkisi incelenmiştir.Çalışma 2002-2003 eğitim-öğretim yılında Samsun ili merkezindeki Kalkanca İlköğretim Okulu'nda okuyan 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinden 16 kişilik deney grubu ve 16 kişilik kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 32 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın deseni kontrollü ön-test, son-test modele dayalı deneysel bir çalışmadır. Öğrencilerin denetim odağı düzeyleri Korkut (1986) tarafından uyarlanan Denetim Odağı Ölçeği ile ölçülmüştür. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde Mann Whitney U Testi ve Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıra Sayıları Testi kullanılmıştır. Genel olarak sonuçlar, öğrencilerin denetim odağı düzeylerine sosyal beceri eğitiminin olumlu etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir.

In this study, the effect of social skills training on the locus of control of primary education students was examined. The study was carried out on the 32 students,16 participants in the control group, 16 participants in the experimental group who are 4th and 5th grades students in Kalkanca Primary School, which is in the center of Samsun city. The design of the research was based on an experimental pre-test, post-test model.Students' locus of control level was measured by means of "Locus of Control Scale " which was adapted by Korkut (1986). Data analysis was applied Mann Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks Test were applied for statistical analysis. The results show that the social skills training may affect students' locus of control levels positively.
