Şaşılık Olgularında Stereopsis ve Füzyon Oranları

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmamızda, şaşılık olgularında Worth 4 nokta (W4N) testi ve stereopsis düzeylerinin incelenmesi, ambliyopinin ve şaşılık tipininbu testler üzerine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya 96 şaşılık olgusu dahil edildi. Olgularda görme keskinliği ve kayma miktarları ölçüldü. Stereopsis ve W4Ntesti ile binoküler görme değerlendirildi. Ambliyopi ve kayma tipinin stereopsis ve W4N testine etkisi Mann Whitney U testi, bağımsız örneklem T testi kullanılarak incelendi. Bulgular: Şaşılık olgularında ambliyopi kızlarda daha fazla idi. Ortalama stereopsis tüm olgularda 916 ark/sn, ambliyop olmayan grupta644 ark/sn ve ambliyop grupta 1166 ark/sn bulundu (p0.05). Kayma miktarı ile süpresyon sıklığı arasında pozitif korelasyon bulundu. Kaymatipine göre, stereopsis ve süpresyon oranı değişiklik göstermedi.Sonuç: Şaşılık olgularında stereopsis düzeyi düşüktür. Kayma miktarı arttıkça süpresyon sıklığı artmaktadır. Şaşılık olgularında ambliyopinin stereopsis üzerine belirgin etkisi saptanmamıştır

Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the Worth 4 dot test and stereopsis and the effect of amblyopia and type of strabismus on these tests in strabismus patients. Material and Method: Ninety-six strabismic patients were enrolled in this study. Visual acuity and amount of deviation of these patients were measured. Binocular vision was assessed by stereopsis and W4N test. Results: Amblyopia was more frequent in girls. The mean stereopsis levels were 916 arc/sec in all patients, 644 arc/sec in patients without amblyopia and 1166 arc/sec in patients with amblyopia (p>0.05). There was positive correlation between frequency of supression and amount of deviation. Stereopsis and supression rates did not significantly change according to the type of strabismus. Conclusion: Levels of stereoacuity are low in strabismus patients. Supression rates increase with the amount of deviation. Significant effect of amblyopia on stereopsis in strabismus patients was not observed.
