Sınıf ve Okul Öncesi Öğretmenlerinin Ev Ziyaretleri Hakkındaki Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sınıf ve okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin öğrenciyi ve çevresinitanımaya yönelik tekniklerden bir tanesi olan ev ziyaretleri hakkındaki görüşleribelirlenmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim desen ve yarıyapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada on sınıf öğretmeni ile yediokul öncesi öğretmeni ile görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda evziyaretlerinin öğrenciyi tanıma açısından olumlu bir etki meydana getirdiği ortayaçıkmıştır. Öğretmenler ev ziyaretleri ile öğrencinin yaşadığı ev ortamı hakkında bilgisahibi olarak sosyo-ekonomik durumu hakkında daha ayrıntılı bilgi sahibiolduklarını düşünmektedirler. Zaman zaman öğrenci bilgi formları ile sağlananbilgilerle birebir karşılaşmanın çocuğun içinde yaşadığı koşulları anlama konusundadaha etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu ziyaretlerin öğrencinin yaşadığı ruhsal vesosyal sorunları, ihtiyaçlarını, varsa çocuğun anlatamadığı durumları anlamayı veçözmeye yardımcı olmayı kolaylaştırdığı belirlenmiştir.

In this study, the opinion of classroom and pre-school teachers about thehome visits, which are one of the techniques to understand the students and theirenvironment, were identified. Here, among the qualitative research methods, thesemi-structured interview method was employed. The interviews were made with 10primary school teachers and 7 preschool teachers during the study. The resultsrevealed that the home visits have a positive effect in terms of understanding thestudent. The teachers stated that, even for a little while, they had an opportunity toobserve the parents’ attitudes towards each other or their children. By obtaininginformation about students’ home environment during these visits, the teacherthought that they had detailed information about the socio-economic conditions ofstudents. It was determined that personally observing the conditions of student interms of the information provided by student information forms is more effective inunderstanding the conditions, in which the child lives. It was found that such visitsmake it easier to understand and solve the student’s mental and social problems, tounderstand their needs and (if any) the issues they can’t tell.
