Zorunlu göçmen grupların toplumsal ve spor aktivitelerinde sosyal uyum ve çok kültürlülük algısı: Samsun ili örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, zorunlu göçmen grupların toplumsal ve spor aktiviteleri neticesinde, sosyal uyum ve çok kültürlülük algılarının incelenmesidir. Çalışma grubu, Samsun ilinde ikamet eden 12-25 yaş grubu mülteci öğrenci ve sivillerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada, deney grubundaki katılımcılara sportif faaliyet öncesi uygulanan “Sosyal Uyum Kendini Değerlendirme Ölçeği” (SUKDO) ve “Çok kültürlülük Algı Ölçeği” (ÇAÖ) toplam puanları arasında zayıf; faaliyet sonrasında ise orta düzeyde pozitif bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sportif faaliyetle, SUKDO açısından kritik ve sorun kategorisindeki kişilerin yaklaşık %50’sin normalleşme kategorisine, ÇAÖ ise, düşük kategorideki 23 kişiden 5’i, orta durumdaki 105 kişiden 12’si yüksek kategoriye geçtiği belirlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla, bu çalışma bulgularına göre bir toplumsal değişim süreci yaşayan zorunlu göçmen grupların spor faaliyetlerine katılımlarının sosyal ilişkilerin temelini oluşturan çok kültürlü toplumlarda sosyal uyumun sağlanmasına katkı sağladığı söylenebilir.

The aim of this study is to analyse the social adaptation and multiculturalism perceptions of forced immigrant groups as a result of social and sport activities. The study group consists of 12-25 age group refugee students and civilians residing in the province of Samsun. In the study, weak positive association was found between pre-sport activity “Social Adaptation Self-Assessment Scale” (SASAS) and “Multiculturalism Perception Scale” (MPS) total scores of the participants in the experimental group, while a moderate positive association was found after sport activity. It was found that with sport activity, about 50% of the individuals in the critical and problem category transferred to normalization category, while 5 of the 23 individuals in the low category and 12 of the 105 individuals in the moderate category transferred to high category. Therefore, it can be said that participation of forced immigrant groups, which are going through a process of social change, in sport activities contributes to social adaptation in multicultural societies according to the results of the present study.
