Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerinin kanıta dayalı hemşireliğe yönelik tutumları ile ilişkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerinin kanıta dayalı hemşireliğe yönelik tutumları ile ilişkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı, kesitsel ve ilişki arayıcı tipte olan bu çalışma, bir devlet üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümü 2., 3. ve 4. sınıfında öğrenim gören öğrencileri (n=322) ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmemiş ve araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan öğrenciler alınmıştır. Veriler, “Öğrenci Tanıtım Formu”, “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği”, “Kanıta Dayalı Hemşireliğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Veriler tanımlayıcı istatistikler, bağımsız örneklem t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Tukey'in post hoc analizi ve Spearman korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin yenilikçilik düzeyinin “düşük” ve kanıta dayalı hemşireliğe yönelik tutumunun “orta” düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği” ve “Kanıta Dayalı Hemşireliğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” toplam puanları arasında orta düzeyde, “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği alt boyutları” ve “Kanıta Dayalı Hemşireliğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği alt boyutları” arasında ise zayıf düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri yükseldikçe, kanıta dayalı hemşireliğe yönelik tutumları gelişmektedir. Yenilikçilik ve kanıta dayalı uygulamalara ilişkin bilgi ve becerileri geliştirecek olan derslerin 1. ya da 2. sınıfta verilmesi önerilebilir.

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between nursing students' individual innovativeness levels and their attitudes towards evidence-based nursing. This descriptive, cross-sectional and relationship- seeking study was conducted with students (n=322) studying in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of the nursing department of a state university. No sample selection was made in the study and students who volunteered to participate in the study were included. The data were collected by "Student Introduction Form", "Individual Innovativeness Scale”, “Evidence‐Based Nursing Attitude Questionnaire”. Data were evaluated with descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Turkey’s post hoc analysis, and Spearman correlation analysis. It was found that the innovation level of students was “low” and their attitude towards nursing based on evidence was "moderate” level. A moderately positive correlation was found between the total scores of the students in “Individual Innovativeness Scale” and “Evidence‐Based Nursing Attitude Questionnaire”, and a weakly positive correlation between ”the sub-dimensions of Individual Innovativeness Scale” and “the sub-dimensions of Evidence‐Based Nursing Attitude Questionnaire” (p<0.05). As a result, as the individual innovation levels of nursing students increase, their attitudes towards evidence-based nursing develop. It may be suggested that the courses that will develop knowledge and skills regarding innovation and evidence- based practices may be given in 1st or 2nd grade.
