dc.description.sponsorship | Despite the tremendous difficulties and countless obstacles the Department of Biochemistry has succeeded in maintaining a decent standard of biochemical education and research and has established strong and fruitful scientific links with a number of academic institutions including University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, Leeds University and the University of Edin- burgh in the UK, University of Lund in Sweden, Michigan State University, USA, Moscow State University and the Third World Academy of Sciences, Trieste. Only through the help of these good friends has it been possible for the department to carry on its functions --in addition, of course, to the vital technical and financial support from International organizations such as WHO, the British Council and German Aid. I sincerely hope that this help will continue for the sake of the students, their dedicated teachers and for the future of Biochemistry in the Sudan. | en_US |
