An acute gastric volvulus: Case report

Gastric volvulus is often an unrecognized surgical emergency, its clinical and radiographic features are so characteristic that accurate diagnosis is possible if the condition is kept in mind, in this article we presented an acute gastric volvulus due to previous travma. A 46-year-old men was admitted to our clinic with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Left lung lobectomy had been perfomed on the patient due to blunt thorasic and abdominal travma 16 years ago. Barium enema study was showed gastric volvulus. Total gastrectomy and esophagojejunostomy was perfomed.
