Exudative retinal detachment is a rare entity in toxemia of pregnancy. In this study, we reported two cases with bilateral exudative retinal detachment and both had preeclampsia. The patients also have hypertension in pregnancy. In postoperative period exudative retinal detachment including macula was detected in both eyes of all patients with toxemia who had sectio. Vision decreased to the level counting fingers. Signs of toxemia regressed rapidly following sectio. The retinal detachment regressed in parallel to toxemia and visual acuity increased to in the first patient: right eye:0.5, left eye 0.4, in the second patient: right eye: 0.7, left eye:0.5 on the tenth and twelve day postoperative respectively. However, the permanent irregular retinal pigmentation developed in both patients in late period. Bilateral exudative retinal detachment rarely develop in toxemia of pregnancy and vision generally increases spontaneously with the regression of toxemia, without having left any serious damage in vision.en_US
