Hematologic and cardiovascular complications in acute viral hepatitis A infection
Özet
Thrombocytopenia may occur during or following a variety of viral infections. There are a few reports of thrombocytopenic purpura and aplastic anemia during the course of acute viral hepatitis. The cardiovascular complications of viral hepatitis are not widely recognized. Profound hypotension and a variety of dysrhythmias have been reported in association with viral hepatitis, but most of these cases were described in adult patients. Therefore, we report the cases of two children showed hematologic and cardiovascular complications associated with acute viral hepatitis A. One patient have severe thrombocytopenia presented with purpuric rash, and other patient have thrombocytopenia and severe bradycardia who had complete hematologic and cardiovascular recovery without therapy.
