dc.description.abstract | In the lead disaccharinate-nicotinamide complex, the lead atom is covalently bonded to two carbonyl oxygen atoms. It is coordinated by the bridging nicotinamide molecule through the amido oxygen and pyridyl nitrogen atoms; however, the latter interaction is significantly weak [Pb-N 2.73 (1) Angstrom]. The bridging heterocycle links adjacent lead disaccharinate molecules into a chain running along the b-axis of the unit cell. A hydrogen bond connects the lattice water molecule to the negatively-charged imido nitrogen atom of the saccharinato entity of two adjacent lead disaccharinate molecules; the amido group also engages in hydrogen bonding interactions to furnish a layer structure. | en_US |
