| dc.description.abstract | The title compound, [CoCl2(C11H11N3O2)(2)], was synthesized from 1-(but-2-enyl)-5-nitrobenzimidazole and cobalt dichloride in ethanol. The Co-II atom has a distorted tetrahedral geometry, coordinated by two Cl atoms and two N atoms. The molecule is located on a twofold rotation axis, which passes through the Co atom.
