Synthesis, crystal structure, vibrational spectra and thermal property of the cyano-bridged hetero-nuclear polymeric complex [Cd(pea)(2)Ni(mu-CN)(4)](n)
Özet
The cyano-bridged heterometallic complex, [Cd(pea)(2)Ni(mu-CN)(4)](n), (1), (pea = 2-phenylethylamine), has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, vibrational (FT-IR and Raman) spectroscopy, elemental and thermal analyses. The crystallographic analysis reveals that the crystal structure of the complex consists of a corrugated two dimensional network, in which the coordination environment of the Cd(II) ion possesses a distorted octahedral geometry, whereas that of Ni(II) has a square planar geometry. The spectral features are consistent with pea coordination to the cadmium ion of the [Cd-Ni(mu-CN)(4)](n) layers as a monodentate ligand.
