The effect of visual strategies on textual structures in listening process to comprehension level of the listeners
Özet
This study aims to determine the effect of the schematic structure of story texts as a visual strategy on comprehension. 99 primary school students who are designated as experimental group and control group participated in the study. Pre-test post-test control group experimental design is used in the study. No difference among experiment group 1, experiment group 2 and the control group was observed in the pre-test. Contrary to this result, a meaningful difference in favor of the experiment groups was observed between the achievement levels of the experiment group 1 and experiment group 2 and the control group. This shows the positive contribution of the strategy used in the listening process. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved
