The molecular geometry of the title compound, C17H18N2O2, displays an E configuration with respect to the azo group. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 10.39 (4)degrees. In the molecule, an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif.
