Physical exa mination and electramyagram studies verified a peroneal nerve palsy Magrietic resonance imaging revealed a lobulated, multilocular, cystic-appearing mass ex tending around the fibular neck. Surgical decompression of the nerve with remo val of the mass and care ul articular branch ligation was pert ormed, Surgical pat ho ogy reports confirmed the diagnosis of a ganglion cyst The patient regained f ull motor function within six months of the decompression,en_US
