Abstract

Through publications increased in recent years it is understood that a lot of mosques with canti technique were built in the Black Sea region. Because the mosques in questions have a history of about 800 years it can be said that there is a strong tradition of wooden mosques in the Region. By examining the mosque built with the same technology found in areas close to the region it is possible to identify in what way the tradition continued and what kind of influences and differences have occurred. From this point of view the two mosques in Iskilip in Corum are the subject of this essay.
