Özet

The interatomic links, the three-dimensional consolidation system and the angles between the links designates the molecule's geometry in a molecule. In this sense, it has an importance to teach the molecule geometries as a function of electron-group geometries. Pilot implementation of the study was carried out with a total of 13 volunteer students in Science Education program studying in 1st class which located in the Black Sea region at a state university in Turkey. The mobile applications have been developed in 3 steps as the samples have been given for 13 different situations in total that the numbers of electron group are 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 by the VSEPR theory in the determination of molecules geometry with this research for this purpose. The first and second steps of mobile applications which have been developed; the figures belonging to the molecule geometries have been given, it has been given firstly to write VSEPR displays (AX3, AX2E ... etc.) and then, the molecule geometries with the electron-group geometries (triangle plane - triangle plane, triangle plane - angular. etc.). For the third step; the images of three-dimensional molecule geometries which have been done with the use of the atom model's kits have been given, the atoms are determined by the colors in molecules, and the name of compound has been demanded to be written (NH3, CH4 ... etc.). The 2-d code on the computer is scanned with the application of "MIT App Inventor 2 Companion" which is downloaded to the android device, it is provided that the mobile application which is prepared with the application of connection with the code has a chance to use on the android device during the application. The images come respectively to the screen during the application which is run on the android device and there is a box under the visual form that the question sentence and its answer are included. If the answer for question is correct, the statement of "Correct answer :)" appears, if it is incorrect the statement of " Wrong answer :(" comes, and if it is demanded to pass to the next question by unanswering the question, the statement of " Don't leave it empty!" comes on the screen. It is considered that the development of these educational digital game applications and their use in courses in today's technology will be an effective tool in order to increase the students' motivation and success levels. At the end of the application, student opinions were taken. In terms of the further development of the students' practice, they have made feedback on the need to be the scoring system, difficulty-easy levels, and the ability to leave the unknown questions blank. As a result of these opinions obtained, the development of the application is planned.
