Issue of Creation of Women by Ribs (Analyzing Narratives in Terms of 'Aslu'l-Hadith and Hadith Narrative Geography)

Abstract

Hadiths on the creation of women have been scrutinized in studies of some of the investigators Unlike them, we endeavoured to analyze the root of the thought of creation of women by ribs in terms of 'aslu'l-hadith and narrative geography by considering sources of Sunni and Shia. We observed that there is a basis for this thought in hermeneutics, not hadiths. For us, this related thought is placed on interpretations due to the Torah. The point in this paper that we wanted to point out is that the authority of narrative tellers on narratives of hadiths based on geography and culture basin. Indeed, we concluded that the thought of the creation of women by ribs was accepted not in regions such as Khorasan, Iraq, not Hedjaz in the first centuries of Islam. With reference to our research findings, studies that will be conducted by considering hadith narrative geography can provide us new opportunities in determining the original and reliability of hadiths.
