Abstract
The new cyclotriphosphazene derivative N<inf>3</inf>P<inf>3</inf>(OC <inf>6</inf>H<inf>3</inf>-OCH<inf>3</inf>COH)<inf>6</inf> (1) was synthesized from hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene, N<inf>3</inf>P<inf>3</inf>Cl<inf>6</inf>, and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde in acetonitrile in the presence of K <inf>2</inf>CO<inf>3</inf>. The structure of 1 was verified by means of elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR spectra, thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
