Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Romantik İlişkilerinde Sorun Çözme Becerileri ile Affedici Özellikleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin romantik ilişkilerinde sorun çözme becerileri ile affedici özellikleri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla İstanbul, Ondokuz Mayıs, Kocaeli, Kültür ve Kadir Has Üniversiteleri'nin çeşitli bölümlerinde eğitim gören hazırlık ve 1.sınıf öğrencilerinden 444 öğrenciye Türkçe'ye uyarlaması Bugay ve Demir (2010) tarafından yapılan 'Heartland Affetme Ölçeği', Kalkan (2008) tarafından geliştirilen 'Ergenler İçin Romantik İlişkilerde Sorun Çözme Ölçeği' ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde; Pearson Moment Korelasyon Katsayısı, Bağımsız Örneklemler T-Testi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi, LSD Testi, Kruskal-Wallis H Testi ve Mann-Whitney U Testi kullanılmış olup SPSS 16.0 paket programından yararlanıl-mıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin duygusal istismar puanları ile başkasını affetme puanları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanırken; kendini affetme, durumu affetme ve affetme toplam puanları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Fiziksel istismar ile affetme toplam puanları ve kendini, durumu ve başkasını affetme arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Soruna yönelme ile affetme toplam puanları ve kendini ve durumu affetme puanları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanırken; başkasını affetme arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Öğrencilerin cinsiyetlerine göre duygusal ve fiziksel istismar puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Soruna yönelme puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Kız öğrencilerin soruna yönelme becerilerinin erkek öğrencilerden daha yüksek düzeyde olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur. Öğrencilerin cinsiyetlerine göre kendini ve başkasını affetme puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamazken; durumu affetme puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Kız öğrencilerin durumu affetme düzeyleri erkek öğrenciler- den daha yüksektir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri üniversiteye göre duygusal ve fiziksel istismar puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanamazken; soruna yönelme puanları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin, öğrenim gördükleri üniversiteye göre affedicilik puanları arasında da anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Araştırmada öğrencilerin algıladıkları sosyo-ekonomik düzeye göre duygusal istismar, fiziksel istismar puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamazken; soruna yönelme puanları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin algıladıkları sosyo-ekonomik düzeye göre affedicilik düzeyleri arasında ise anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. In this study, it is examined the relationship between problem-solving skills and forgiving features in the university students' romantic relationships. For this purpose, Heartland Forgiveness Scale which was adapted to Turkey by Bugay and Demir (2010), Problem Solving in Romantic Relationships Scale for Adolescents which was developed by Kalkan (2008) and Personal Information Form which was developed by the researcher are applied to the 444 preparation and 1st year students who were in different departments of İstanbul University, Ondokuz Mayıs University, Kocaeli University, Kültür University and Kadir Has University. In the analysis of the data obtained, Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient, Independent Samples T-Test, One-Way ANOVA, LSD Test, Kruskal-Wallis H Test and Mann-Whitney U Test have been used and SPSS 16.0 package program has been used. As a result of study, whereas a significiant correlation was determined positively between the students' emotional abuse scores and forgiveness of others scores; no significiant correlation was found between the forgiveness of self, forgiveness of situation and forgiveness total scores. No significiant correlation was found between the physical abuse and forgiveness total scores and forgiveness of self, forgiveness of situation and forgiveness of others. Whereas a significiant correlation was determined positively between the problem solving and forgiveness total scores and forgiveness of self, forgiveness of situation scores; no significiant correlation was found between the forgiveness of others. No significiant difference was found between the emotional and physical abuse scores according to the students' genders. A significant difference was found among the problem solving scores. It is revealed that female students' problem solving skills are better than male students' problem solving skills. Whereas no significant difference was found between the forgiveness of self and forgiveness of others scores according to the students' genders; a significiant difference was found between the forgiveness of situation. Female students' forgiveness of situation are better than male students. In this study, whereas no significiant difference between the emotional and physical abuse scores according to the university where the students receive education; the significiant differences were found between the problem solving scores. Significiant differences were found between the forgiveness scores according to the alma mater. In this study whereas no significiant difference was found between the emotional abuse, physical abuse scores according to the level of socio-economic percevied by students; the significiant differences were found between the problem solving scores. No significiant differences between the forgiveness levels according to the level of socio-economic percevied by students.
